LEGAZPI CITY-Inirekomenda ng Field Investigation Bureau ng Office of the Ombudsman ang pagsasampa ng kasong plunder at bribery laban kay Senator Rodante Marcoleta dahil umano sa halos P75 Milyong campaign donations noong 2025.
Sa isang complaint-affidavit na may petsang Mayo 18, irekomenda rin nila ang pagsasampa ng kaso kontra kay dating Quezon City 2nd District Rep. Mike Defensor at sa dalawa pang indibidwal na umano’y nagbigay ng donasyon kay Marcoleta.
“…the undersigned investigators respectfully pray that the following respondents Rodante Dizon Marcoleta and private individuals Michael Tan Defensor, Joseph Varias Espiritu, and Aristotle Baluyut Viray be indicted for Plunder, as defined and penalized under Republic Act No. 7080, and for violation of Presidential Decree no. 46,” ayon sa complaint-affidavit.
Inirekomenda rin ang kasong indirect bribery laban sa apat pa umano na mga akusado.
